In 1965 Robert and Mary Finkenbinder purchased the establishment that has today become The Country Butcher Shop, Inc.

Our family owned and operated business has become synonymous with quality products and excellent customer service. Through the years we have maintained our status as a manufacturer of fine beef and pork products while expanding our line of local, specialty, homemade products – baked goods, beverages, breads, chips, eggs, fresh produce, and deli items.

Robert and Mary, together with their daughter and three sons, built The Country Butcher Shop into a thriving, local retailer of fresh meats.

After 55 years, The Country Butcher Shop, Inc. is still a mainstay in our community. Today it is owned by Robert and Mary’s son Charles Finkenbinder. Our slaughterhouse, North Mountain Butcher Shop, the only USDA inspected facility in Cumberland County, owned by the oldest son Glenn Finkenbinder provides most of our fresh meats from local farmers.

We take pride in our commitment to freshness and to our customers, some of whom have been with us for all of our 55 years. We rely on our past and look forward to the future of The Country Butcher Shop, Inc.
